Meet the Candidates for Iowa 2nd Congressional District - Republican Primary

Two people are vying for the Republican Party nomination in Iowa's 2nd Congressional District: Christopher Peters of Coralville and Ginny Caligiuri of Osceola.

The winner will likely move on to face Democratic Congressman Dave Loebsack of Iowa City, who is running unopposed for his party's nomination during the June 5 primary.

Peters challenged Rep. Loebsack in 2016, losing 54%-46%.

Caligiuri is running as a write-in candidate after failing to meet the state standards for nominating petition signatures.
