President Donald Trump addresses a joint session of Congress for the first time  Tuesday evening at the Capitol. The address comes a day after Trump gave an outline of his budget plan for Congress, which would increase defense spending and make cuts to domestic programs.

A contributing writer to NPR's website was caught plagiarizing.  Instead of trying to cover up the act, NPR posted a story about it. The story spotlights ten examples and includes links to the original material.

NPR News is offering a live chat for the final presidential debate between President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney. This final debate is being moderated by Bob Schieffer, Chief Washington Correspondent for CBS News and Moderator of Face the Nation. The debate is taking place at Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL.
