The Iowa Court of Appeals has reversed the 2016 conviction of Michael Pieper. He was accused of misconduct in office while serving on the Green Bay Levee and Drainage District Board of Trustees.

The Iowa Court of Appeals has ordered two convictions against a Burlington man be dismissed. The three judge panel described the evidence presented against Wilson Porter, Jr. as "purely circumstantial."

A Burlington man will remain in prison after the Iowa Court of Appeals upheld his 2013 murder conviction. Chico Newman was charged with killing his wife, Crystal  Newman, in their home in the early morning hours of Aug. 9, 2012.

The Iowa Court of Appeals will not reverse the verdict against a man knocked unconscious during a fight outside a Fort Madison bar in February 2013.

The appeals process has run out for a northeast Missouri man convicted of 1st Degree Murder in southeast Iowa last year.
