Wespoint's Shuckfest Kicks Off Annual Sweet Corn Festival
Hundreds of community members came together for food, drink, and the excitement.
More than 16 tons of sweet corn was shucked within an hour and a half at the event.
Festival Committee member Blake Forsythe said it is a great event to get everyone looking forward to the festival.
"It's a very good time, it's a 'shucking good time' I think it's what we call it. It takes a lot of volunteers, and everybody does a great job."
The shucked corn is given to the festival attendees for free.
The Sweet Corn Festival runs through Sunday.
