Veterans Honored In Keokuk

Keokuk, IA – The War in Iraq has become an extremely divisive issue in this country. If you placed 100 people in a room and asked them for a solution, you just might get 100 different answers. One common theme, though, since the war began has been to support the troops. A national ceremony to show that very support, for those who currently and previously served, brought people from all walks of life together. The six forest green wreaths sat on narrow metal stands before the dozens of veterans and residents who came out to Keokuk National Cemetery. Just a couple of weeks after a vicious snow storm blanketed the area, the sun shined high in the sky, with just a brisk wind to cool everyone in the crowd. Everyone in attendence came out to be a part of Wreaths Across America.
