Uncontested School Board Races Throughout SE Iowa

Keokuk, IA – Voters in Lee and Des Moines Counties will have few choices to make when they go to the polls to decide local school board races. There are just 22 people running for 19 available seats.

The only contested races on the September 8 ballot will be in Keokuk and Burlington. Six people are running for three open seats in Keokuk while four are seeking three open spots on the Burlington School Board.

The races to fill a vacancy on the Keokuk School Board and open seats on the Central Lee, Fort Madison, Danville, Mediapolis, and West Burlington School Boards are all uncontested.

Meanwhile, there will be a contested race for a seat on the Southeastern Community College Board of Trustees and several ballot initiatives.
