Spoon River College to Enhance Satellite Campuses

Canton, IL – Spoon River College will use part of a new bond issue to enhance its satellite campuses at Rushville and Havana. The college will issue $2 million in Bonds. About $1.6 million of that will purchase the Heilig-Meyers building in Macomb, which will be used for a new campus in that town. Board Chairman Dave Maguire says the balance of the bond issue will go towards renovating the other two campuses. He says the college is in discussion with two possible partners to come up with better facilities for Rushville. He says some expansion for Havana is also planned. It could go toward the exising building or a new location.
