Macomb, IL – The panelists discuss why some stories - such as the Annie Le murder case - receive a great deal of national media attention while other stories don't.

Other people across the nation were murdered around the same time as Le but their deaths did not receive any mention in the national media. The recent death of census worker Bill Sparkman in Kentucky has gotten a bit of attention but not nearly as much as the Le death.

The murder of Le is a tragedy and no doubt should have been covered by local and regional media. But what elevated it to the national stage?
