Shop Talk - September 15

Macomb, IL – The panelists talk about the restrictive nature of the press credentials issued by the Big Ten this year.

The Radio & Television News Directors Association (RTNDA) and other media groups believe the rules will interfere with the ability of reporters to provide the news and sports coverage audiences expect.

The RTNDA says the Big Ten credential rules include an absolute ban on the secondary use of content in any format for any purpose. The rules also place severe restrictions on the use of game footage. In addition, works created by news photographers, videographers, and reporters will fall under the copyrighted content of the Big Ten Conference.
