Shop Talk - October 6

Macomb, IL – The panelists talk about the new newspaper in western Illinois. It's called The McDonough County Voice.

The paper was formed by the merger of the Macomb Journal and the Macomb Eagle. No reporters lost their jobs as a result of the merger.

The McDonough County Voice will be published Tuesday through Saturday.

The panelists discuss the decision to re-brand the Macomb Journal, which first published in 1855. They also question why management tried to be so secretive about the new venture.
