Macomb, IL – The panelists discuss whether the Midwest sometimes gets overlooked by the national news media.

Patrick Stout of the McDonough County Voice raised the issue in a column after President Obama's visit to the tri-states this spring. Stout wrote that major websites hardly mentioned anything about the President's activities.

Panelist Bill Knight says stories about the President's trip could be found on web, but agrees the TV networks did a poor job of covering it. Panelist Mark Dial questions whether decision-makers know what goes on in the Midwest.

The panelists also wonder why some stories from the Midwest gain national attention while others fall through the cracks.
