Macomb, IL – The panelists talk about editorials published by Ogden Newspapers, Inc. Some editorials are worded as if they're written locally but, in fact, are churned out by corporate headquarters in West Virginia.
A number of editorials bashing ACORN have appeared in Ogden newspapers in recent months. In 2008, an Adirondack newspaper published an editorial that stated "We urge residents of our area to cast their ballots for John McCain, the leader Americans need."
The panelists feel the newspapers need to attribute such editorials to the corporation rather than misleading readers into thinking they express a local point of view.
