Run-Off Election Results - Keo/FM

Incumbents went 1 for 2 during Tuesday’s run-off elections in Keokuk and Fort Madison.

Ron Payne will continue to represent Keokuk’s 3rd Ward on the city council after defeating challenger Richard Moore, 74% - 26%.

Payne also received the most votes during the November election, but missed the threshold to avoid the run-off by just one vote.

By contrast, Rusty Andrews was victorious, Tuesday, in the race for an at-large seat on the Fort Madison City Council after finishing second in November.

Andrews defeated incumbent Neal Boeding, 56% - 44%.

The cost of the elections has yet to be determined.  Each city will pay for its own contest.
