Macomb, IL – Alene Reuschel, the second of two finalists for the position of Macomb school superintendent met the public at a reception. Reuschel is superintendent in Avon, and formerly worked at the Hancock McDonough Regional Office of Education. Reuschel believes progress can be made on improving the school funding formula in Illinois. She also sees opportunities for schools in a region to work together on distance learning opportunities to improve education for students.
