Programs Offered For Children To Aid Families

www.firstpresmacomb.org

The First Presbyterian Church in Macomb offers programs that are designed to aid families in need for the summer.

The programs are for children ages four and older, and offer free meals and activities. In the summer growing program, children can team up with their peers to help build a quarter-acre garden.

Mission and youth staff coordinator Will Wetzel says he wants families to be aware of the help provided by these programs.

"We want to give families opportunities to have some free child care and free children's activities this summer. If we need more space we will figure out a way to do it because we really want to make sure all kids have a chance to get a healthy meal," said Wetzel.

Many spots are available for registration, and there is no deadline.

To learn more about the programs, come to the kick-off cookout this Friday from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. in the church parking lot.
