Polling Place Might Be Shifted

Macomb, IL 61455 – Years ago when the McDonough County Board changed a polling place without much publicity, residents objected -- loudly. This time when the board held a hearing on moving a polling place to WIU's Western Hall, no one showed up to object. WIU has offered the use of Western Hall in place of the Wesley United Methodist Church where voting has been held. Students and campus administrators showed up at the hearing to support the change. Campus groups offered to help guide local residents through the process. The change will be recommended to the county board by the Law and Legal Committee.
