New Keokuk High School Option

The head of Keokuk Christian Academy says the response to the school’s expansion plan has been very positive.

KCA currently serves about 25-preschoolers and more than 70-students in kindergarten through 8th grades.  The school recently announced plans to open a high school next year.

Administrator Adam Brumbaugh says the new high school will be an in-town alternative to Keokuk High School and an option for students open-enrolling to neighboring districts (Central Lee & Holy Trinity).

He says the parents of current students have been extremely happy about the decision because they know where their kids can attend school next year.

Brumbaugh says the high school classes would be held in mobile classrooms.  He anticipates KCA will partner with local high schools and community colleges to supplement the curriculum.

Brumbaugh says the idea of adding a high school has been discussed for several years.

KCA has been in service for more than 30-years.
