Nauvoo Native Completes Book

Nauvoo, IL – A Nauvoo Native has broadened his interest in Midwest history to complete a book of photographs and drawings of Nauvoo. Glenn Cuerden began documenting Midwest life on a farm while he was in high school. About 2000, he focused on Nauvoo and the region surrounding it. He believes many history books focus on the nation's coasts and ignore the region between them. Cuerdon says he also wants to bring out more information about the other groups that were important to Nauvoo. These range from the Native Americans and early traders to the French, Germans and others who moved to the town after the Latter Day Saints left for Utah.
