More Heroin Arrests in McDonough County

McDonough County Sheriff's Department

Six more people are in custody as part of an investigation into the sale of heroin in western Illinois.

Chad M. White, 23, of Macomb; Jack W. Crouch, 28, of Macomb; Brienne L. Whitmire, 28, of Macomb; Kyle D. Williams, 22, of Colchester; Jesse W. McDonald, 30, of Colchester; and Andrew R. Swartzbaugh, 33, of Bushnell, are each charged in federal warrants with Conspiracy to Possess and Distribute Heroin Over 100 Grams.

The information comes from the McDonough County Sheriff’s Department and the Macomb Police Department.

They say the arrests were made Tuesday at various locations in the county. The arrests are part of a local and federal investigation called “Three Strikes,” which also netted the arrests of two Macomb residents last month.

Police say they seized heroin, prescription pills, and hypodermic needles while making the latest arrests.

The cases have been turned over to federal court in Peoria.
