MO Primary : Clark/Lewis Counties

The head of the Clark County Board will not have a chance at a second term in office.

Presiding Commissioner Ron Brewer was defeated in the Republican primary by challenger Buddy Kattelmann.

Kattelmann appears to be a shoo-in for the Clark County Board with no Democrats in the race.
Meanwhile, Kim Schantz easily defeated Terry Matlock in the GOP primary for Circuit Clerk.

Schantz will face Democratic Circuit Clerk Kay Biggerstaff in November.
There was only one contested race in Lewis County.

Laura Logsdon defeated Brenda Schalager by just 11 votes in the Republican primary for Recorder of Deeds.

  • Brenda Schalager - 478

Logsdon will square off with Democrat Amy Parrish in the general election.
