Macomb, IL – David Dorsett and Alderman Lou Gilbert will lead the ballot choices in their wards for Macomb's Feb. 27 primary election. Gilbert will run against Aaron Fosdyck for the third ward seat. Dorsett will run against Danny Brown for the fifth ward position.
Other aldermanic candidates include Richard Vick for the first ward and incumbent John Maguire and Mike Inman for the fourth ward. No one filed for the second ward post. Alderman-at-large Chris Senn is being challenged by Reagan Clause. Incumbents Mayor Mick Wisslead, City Clerk Melanie Falk and Treasurer Ron Ward face no opposition.
