Keokuk, IA – The head of the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs says Keokuk's newly certified cultural and entertainment district will open a lot of doors for the community. Anita Walker says during the past two years, just 15 communities in Iowa have received the state designation. Keokuk's cultural and entertainment district will include the riverfront, the Grand Theatre, the public library, the arts center, and a portion of Main Street. Four large signs will be put up to mark the boundaries of Keokuk's district.
