The Keokuk City Council is making a big change to its monthly meeting schedule.
The panel has agreed to hold its off-week workshops on an “as-needed” basis, so they will no longer be scheduled for the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month.
The idea has been tossed around for months based on a lack of agenda items.
In fact, the agenda for the meeting when the decision was made had just two specific items, one of which was whether to eliminate the workshops.
Workshops will still be held prior to the Keokuk City Council’s business meetings the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month.
