Keokuk, IA – The Keokuk City Council has accepted the resignations of the three members of the Civil Service Commission. A recent statement by the panel alluded to a lack of communication between the commission and the city as the cause of the resignations. The council appointed Pat Hogan to fill the one immediate commission resignation. The other two take effect August 1. Mayor Dave Gudgel says the three residents served the city admirably.
