Hamilton Schools To Link To Education System

Hamilton, IL – The Hamilton School District is almost ready to connect to a wireless education system. Superintendent James Jackson says the district plans to connect to Carl Sandburg College's Edunet system by installing a 25' tower on top of Hamilton's elementary school. He says that location should provide adequate signal clarity and line-of-sight connection to Edunet antennaes in other communities. Jackson says it is important to get the Edunet system running by the first of the year. Initially, the plans called for the Edunet antennae to be placed on top of Hamilton's water tower. That proposal stalled after the city and Derbytech, the installation company, could not reach an agreement. Jackson says the tower will be paid for by Derbytech and could be installed on the next clear, windless day.
