Field Set for Warsaw City Races

The April 9 Election will bring some new faces to city government in Warsaw.

Three people have filed the paperwork required to be mayor.

Ward 3 Alderman Alan Leffler
Perry Cameron
Tiffany Murphy.

The winner will replace Gary Treatch, who chose not to seek another term in office.

Meanwhile, there are three seats up for grabs on the Warsaw City Council.

In Ward 1, incumbent Truman Phillips will face Joshua Smith.

In Ward 2, Richard Barber and Leslie Beeler will square off to fill the seat vacated by Scott Stevens last year.
Ed Short was serving on an interim basis, but chose not to run to keep the seat.

In Ward 3, Mike Heisler is the lone candidate to file to fill the seat vacated by Ted Elting last year.
Linda Schrader was serving on an interim basis, but like Short, chose not to run to keep the seat.

The other incumbents on the ballot, City Clerk Kathy Thompson and Treasurer Krista Brownlee, are running unopposed.
