Macomb, IL – Rich Egger's guest is Dr Shakti Butler, who is Executive Director of World Trust.
Butler has produced and directed a number of documentaries. Butler said she tries to inspire transformative learning through her films.
"Transformative learning, which is a fairly new field in education, speaks to getting at people's embedded assumptions about how they think the world works," Butler said.
Butler is currently working on the film Cracking the Codes: Race and Relationships in the 21st Century.
Butler was in Macomb this week to give the keynote presentation at the 18th Annual Dealing With Difference Institute. The two-day conference took place on the campus of Western Illinois University.
