Colona, IL – Congressman Bobby Schilling was sworn in a few weeks ago as part of a freshman class that unseated a lot of incumbent Democrats.

But, Schilling says he's not about adhering to the party line. He says won't be in lock step with Republicans on every measure.

Schilling does, however, want a complete repeal and replacement of what he calls a "job-killing" piece of legislation that's effectively a "government takeover" of health care.

Schilling says he's doesn't necessarily agree with some in his party about the potential de-funding of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. He says CPB doesn't receive all that much money, and says it's a good service -- so long as NPR and PBS stay unbiased in their news coverage.
