Keokuk, IA – Jason Parrott's guest is Keokuk Mayor Dave Gudgel. Gudgel is stepping down after eight years in office.
Gudgel says the city's greatest accomplishment during his time in office was the construction of the Rand Park Pavilion. He says the facility shows how the city is willing to come together on a positive project.
He says his biggest disappointment was the death of entrepreneur Ken Hendricks. Hendricks planned to build a wind turbine tower plant in Keokuk.
Gudgel says he will stay involved in Keokuk, but he will also use his additional free time to play with his grandchildren, read, and water-color.
