Keokuk, IA – Jason Parrott's guest is Mary Dennis with the Lee County Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Coalition. She organized the upcoming "Body Shop" at Keokuk High School on May 5.
"Body Shop" is a unique health and wellness fair.
Dennis says the event will focus on three issues: body, mind, and relationships. She says each student will attend one seminar on those topics during Body Shop.
The students will then hear from several keynote speakers: Dr. Mitch Kelly of the University of Iowa and former University of Iowa wrestling coach and Olympic champion Dan Gable. Their speeches will also be open to the general public.
Dennis says informational booths will be set up in Wright Fieldhouse.
Dennis says she would deem the event a success if each student learns one or two things that they can implement in their own homes.
