Macomb, IL – Rich Egger's guests are AARP Illinois President Merri Dee, AARP Illinois Senior Director Bob Gallo, andd Macomb Area AARP President Lynne Ruben.
Dee and Gallo were in Macomb to give the Macomb chapter the First Place Award in the AARP's "Create The Good" challenge. The challenge honors volunteer efforts.
The Macomb chapter won the award for its McDonough County Senior Services Directory. The publication is in its fifth year and continues to grow larger and more popular.
The directory provides information about services available for seniors and their care givers.
The directory is available free of charge. All expenses are paid for through advertising. It's available at Macomb City Hall, the YMCA Senior Center in Macomb, the McDonough District Hospital Public Relations Department, and on the Macomb AARP's web site.
