Election Results - Burlington/West Burlington

The results are in from the special elections in Burlington and West Burlington on Tues., Dec. 2nd.

Chris Reed - 144 (12%)
Dan Wischmeier - 143 (12%)
Kevin Long - 69 (6%)
Marcques Derby - 24 (2%)

Leo Hallowell - 22 (2%)
Tracey Watts - 15 (1%)

**Davidson and Sandell, who have each previously served as Mayor of Burlington, move on to the Dec. 30 special election.  The winner will fill the seat vacated by Becky Shockley several months ago.**

West Burlington School District

Shall the district borrow up to $6,750,000 for improvements?

Yes - 158 (29%)
No - 385 (71%)

**The district was going to use the money to improve libraries, security and cafeterias and add classrooms to several buildings.**

Shall the district extend and increase the PPEL levy?

Yes - 267 (49%)
No - 275 (51%)

Brent Mixer - 142 (30%)
Write-In Votes - 188 (40%)

**Dan Hockett received the most write-in votes at 105.**
