Election Preview - Keokuk School Board

Keokuk, IA – Voters across Iowa will go to the polls, Tuesday, to decide who should represent them on local school boards. Only one school district in Lee County features a contested board race. Four candidates are vying for three seats on the Keokuk Board of Education. Three of the last four school board elections in Keokuk have featured contested races. This time around, current board members Julia Logan and Tyler McGhghy, Fire Chief Mark Wessel, and former HS principal Tom Wemette are seeking terms on the board. It is a lock that at least one newcomer will be elected, as board member Brian Richardson is not seeking reelection. The four candidates all say they have the desire to serve and the ability to improve the Keokuk School Board.
