Detachment Court Date Put Back Again

Macomb, IL – A reduced number of judges has set back court hearings on a detachment case in western Illinois. Schuyler-Industry Superintendent says he's been notified that the hearing on issues involving the transfer of students from his district to Macomb will be Feb. 21.
He says he had thought the hearings could be wrapped up this month. Other issues in the hearings include where the original detachment petition should have been presented. The McDonough-Hancock school trustees approved the transfer. Plater's attorney says the issue should have gone before the Fulton-Schuyler school trustees.
