Macomb, IL – McDonough County will form a committee to review workers compensation claims before they're paid. Government Integrity and Oversight Committee Chairman Glen Foster believes there have been some instances of employees claiming compensation for injuries incurred away from the work place. He says the yet-to-be formed committee will develop a way to evaluate claims without violating privacy of employees. Foster says a procedure could be developed by next month's committee meeting. In January, the committee will meet as the Human Resources and Planning committee. County Board Chairman Scott Schwerer suggested the name because he believes it's "more positive."
