Warsaw, IL – The West Hancock Titans are the best class 2A girls basketball team in Illinois.
The school districts involved in that co-op will have more opportunities to find combined success.
The Hamilton and Warsaw school boards have agreed to co-op all high school sports, including cheer-leading and dance, starting this fall.
Nauvoo-Colusa is not included because an upcoming double deactivation will result in its high school students attending Warsaw High School later this year.
Warsaw Superintendent Kim Schilson says volleyball, baseball, and boys basketball will be the newest Titan sports, pending state approval.
Schilson says the co-op contracts will have to be renewed every 2 years.
She says Hamilton and Warsaw will each serve as the administrative district for seven teams and will split home games evenly.
