Macomb, IL – There will be four contested races in Macomb's February primary. Reagan
Clause will run against incumbent alderman at large Chris Senn, third ward alderman Lou Gilbert will be challenged by Aaron Fosdyck, fourth ward alderman John Maguire will be opposed by Mike Inman, and in the new fifth ward Dave Dorsett will take on Danny Brown. Richard Vick was the only person to file for first ward alderman to fill out the remaining two years on Charles Gilbert's term. Mayor Mick Wisslead, City Clerk Melanie Falk, and Treasurer Ron Ward will run unopposed. No one filed for alderman in the new second ward. If no one runs a write-in campaign, the mayor will appoint someone to fill that post in May.
