Crews respond to a call on Jan. 3 of a boat capsizing on the Mississippi River with two men aboard near Montrose.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office said a body found Saturday morning along the shoreline of the Mississippi River near Hamilton's Montebello Access is a southeast Iowa man who went missing after going out on the river in early January.

Sheriff Stacy Weber said in a statement Sunday that the Hancock County (IL) Coroner’s Office identified the body as Bill White Sr. of Argyle. White’s cause of death is drowning.

White and Ron Wagner of Montrose took a boat out on the river near Montrose on January 3 when it capsized.

Weber said emergency responders will continue to search for Wagner’s body, which has not been located.
