The McDonough County Sheriff’s Department arrested a teenager for allegedly throwing an explosive device into an apartment complex in Bardolph.
Trenton Sealock, 19, of Bardolph, is charged with Aggravated Arson, Criminal Damage to Property Over $500, and Disorderly Conduct.
The sheriff’s department said it was called to the apartment building at 208 S. Spruce St. at 5:30 am Monday on a report of an explosion and smoke.
The department said its investigation found a “mortar” type firework had been exploded in the building. No one was injured but the building was burned in several areas.
Sealock was arrested a few hours later.
