Bill Harroun

Folk Weekend Host & AIS Program Director

Bill Harroun is the Tri States Audio Information Services Program Director. His duties are to make all programming decisions for the Audio Information Service, coordinate volunteers, and supervise the student workers. Bill is from Aledo but currently resides in Macomb with his wife Barb of twelve years and , two children-Annaleigh and Jack. Bill has a B.A in Communications from WIU. He began his career in radio from his love of the legendary free-form FM station KFMH 99 Plus in Muscatine, IA, and friendships made with several of the DJs while in high school that last to this day. Bill has spread his talents in many different areas. Bill has worked for WRMJ in Aledo, KWPC in Muscatine, and WKAI in Macomb and he also worked corporate sales of marketing for various companies for 10 years upon graduation from WIU. Besides helping the visually impaired, Bill loves to play rhythm guitar & sing for regional “rural rock” band Iron Orchard.
