Baylee Brynteson

News Reporter/Production Assistant

Baylee Brynteson is a broadcasting major at WIU with a focus on production. She started off working in the music library at Tri States Public Radio and has added duties as a News Reporter and Production Assistant. She is also a radio news producer at 88.3 The Dog and a production assistant for News3. After graduating from Western, she plans to pursue a career in radio or TV. Baylee enjoys hiking, singing way too loudly in her car, and meeting new and interesting people.

After a tough year of budget and program cuts, Western Illinois University has reversed course in one area by creating a new department.

Last year's sculptures are gone and eight new ones have taken their places around Macomb's downtown area. Downtown Development Director Kristen Terry said the debut of the outdoor exhibit last year was a huge success, drawing people from out of town to the downtown.
