Cabaret explores the world of pre-World War II Berlin and the social tensions and fearful atmosphere of Germany during the Nazi Party’s rise to power. At the infamous Kit Kat Club, a raucous ensemble takes the stage nightly to tantalize the crowd—and to leave their troubles outside. But as life in pre-WWII Germany grows more and more uncertain, the allure of Berlin nightlife may not be enough to get them through these dangerous times.
Performances are Friday and Saturday, February 2, 3, 9 and 10, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, February 4 and 11, at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for students and can be purchased at prairieplayers.com or at 309-343-7728.
Cabaret contains adult language and situations and may not be appropriate for all ages.
