You will discover the life cycle stages of Monarch Butterflies by seeing real live butterflies as eggs, caterpillars & chrysalis. You will have the opportunity to adopt a tagged Monarch Butterfly or create your own symbolic migration butterflies to send to Mexico. We will have information on other pollinators including honey bees and offer a talk about beekeeping. Learn about nectar sources and the steps to building your own pollinator garden, Monarch Waystation, or CP-42 pollinator habitat.
Get there early to get your free native plant, available only to the first 50 families that register. You will also have the opportunity to purchase native plants. Conservation experts will host tables and take any questions you may have. We also feature lots of activities for kids, from pollinator jeopardy to a butterfly parade. Enjoy vendors, music, food, crafts, talks and butterflies. This day is sure to have something for everyone!
