Cathie Crawford has concentrated on woodcuts and monotypes since earning a master’s of fine art in 1987 from Bradley University in Peoria, where she now lives. She previously earned bachelor’s degrees from Ohio State University in printmaking (1971) and art education (1972). Her work has been included in more than 300 exhibitions, 40 juried national shows and 12 international juried exhibitions.
Crawford’s prints are included in private and corporate collections in eight countries, including Bradley University, Illinois Central College and Methodist Medical Center in Peoria; Trenton (N.J.) State College; the Safeya Binzagr Darat in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; and HRH Abdullah Saud Mohammed in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Crawford’s “Bliss of Being: 30 Years of Woodcuts” will be featured in the Lonnie Eugene Stewart Art Gallery, located in Building D on the Main Campus. Both the show and reception are free and open to the public.
